Renee Holmes
Renee Holmes began her writing career when she was invited to join the Young Authors Club in the first grade. From that point on, writing not only seemed natural but fun. Through the school years, she participated in the school yearbooks and newspapers.
Years after pursuing a successful career in accounting, Renee returned to school and earned her degree in English: Professional Writing. Realizing the need for web writers, she became the first person to graduate Purdue University with a certificate in Interactive Web Writing.
Renee began her writing career working behind the scenes, consulting for grant writings and compiling technical how-to manuals for independent companies. She now is more active in internet writing than any other facet.
Renee's vast life experiences provides her with a more objectional view on life and people in it, while her small home town life gives her a steady anchor. Married to a teacher who is also a professional boxer, Renee has expertise in certain fields that she would have never anticipated. Her two daughters, 8 and 14, keep her up to date with parenting skills and technology!
Although her work life and family life keep her busy, Renee also plays bass in a band, which helps to keep her brain in the game of life. It doesn't have to be all work. Play is just too much fun.
For now, writing is her true passion. Although writing for sites like Suite101 keeps her fulfilled, she plans to write a personal memoir about someone who is very special to her in the near future.
